BATON ROUGE, LA — History came vividly to life at the LSU Rural Life Museum as community leaders, history enthusiasts, and patriots gathered for the highly anticipated Patriot’s Day Luncheon. Hosted by the American Judicial Alliance, the event was a resounding success, beautifully fulfilling its mission to honor the foundational heritage of our nation and support the vital work of the Harlan Bible Project.
The afternoon kicked off with a bustling 11:30 AM meet-and-greet, where attendees connected over shared passions for American history and preservation. The energy in the room set the perfect stage for an afternoon centered on reflection, community, and inspiration.
A Journey into the Past with George Washington

The true highlight of the luncheon was an unforgettable keynote presentation by Steve Kubicek, author of the award-winning historical fiction novel Visibly Struck.
Kubicek, who serves as a George Washington Fellow and the President of the Louisiana Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), delivered far more than a standard speech. Attendees were treated to an inspired, deeply moving dramatization of George Washington himself. Through his expert portrayal, Kubicek brought the character, faith, and resolve of our first president to life, specifically exploring Washington’s steadfast belief in the “invisible hand of God” guiding American independence.
“Steve’s performance didn’t just educate us; it transported us,” remarked one attendee. “Seeing Washington’s passion and faith portrayed with such historical accuracy was incredibly moving.”
A Successful Mission
Beyond the spectacular performance, the event served as a powerful platform for the Harlan Bible Project, reinforcing the deep-rooted historical and judicial foundations that shape our country today. The beautiful backdrop of the LSU Rural Life Museum provided the ultimate setting for an event dedicated to preserving the stories of yesteryear.
The American Judicial Alliance and event organizers extended their heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, RSVP’d, and contributed to making the luncheon such a memorable triumph. The afternoon left everyone in attendance with a renewed sense of patriotism and a deeper appreciation for the enduring legacy of America’s founding era.
